The Opening Ceremony of the 1st National Yoga Club Championship

The Vietnam Yoga Federation, in collaboration with the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, the Thanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports & Tourism and the Indian Embassy, organized the National Yoga Club Championship to celebrate International Yoga Day on June 21 in Thanh Hoa.

The opening ceremony took place on the morning of June 11, 2022, at Thanh Hoa Training & Competition Center No. 89 Le Hoan, Dien Bien Ward, Thanh Hoa City, with many impressive performances. The program was broadcast live on VTV1, Thanh Hoa TV channel

Attending the ceremony included:

- Mr. Nguyen Quang Hai, Provincial Commissioner, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council;

- Mr. Head Thanh Tung, Provincial Commissioner, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee;

- Ms. Mini Devi Kumam, First Secretary, Indian Embassy in Vietnam;

With the participation of the leaders of the Vietnam Yoga Federation, representatives of the Provincial Propaganda Department, the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa, along with the refereeing force and nearly 200 athletes from 28 yoga clubs in provinces and cities nationwide.

The 1st National Yoga Club Championship 2022 aims to celebrate the success of the 31st Southeast Asian Games (Seagames 31) held in Vietnam, the 8th International Yoga Day (21/6), and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and India.

In addition, this is the first tournament to be organized with the participation of yoga clubs nationwide, contributing to promoting the movement "All people train their bodies according to the example of the great Uncle Ho".
